2026 Speedo Fort Lauderdale Open Is Stacked With Talent & Tickets Are On Sale Now

The 2026 Speedo Fort Lauderdale Open entries are officially closed. However, USA Swimming National Team athletes may still enter until April 15.

 World Aquatics Approved: This meet can be officially used for qualifying times for the 2027 World Championships in Budapest.

The 2025 Fort Lauderdale Open was a crowd-pleaser, drawing global attention and media after two world records were broken in one day. Katie Ledecky shattered the women’s 800-meter freestyle world record, and Gretchen Walsh broke the women’s 100-meter butterfly.

Hey, just a thought. Perhaps USA Swimming should take a page from the NCAA and CSCAA and get rid of B and C finals and add 45 minutes of show diving and big boat watching in bay next to the pool between every A final

That will surely make the meet much more exciting and really boost those ticket sales! 🤪
