2024 NCAA ‘A’ finalist in the 200 backstroke Eli Rollen will transfer to Cal Baptist for the 2025-2026 season. Rollen spent two seasons at Oklahoma Christian and has two years of eligibility remaining.
“I’m incredibly excited about my commitment to Cal Baptist and can’t wait to see what God has in store for me next!”
As a freshman, Rollen swam to an 8th place finish in the 200 back at Division II NCAAs, touching in a 1:46.59. He was faster in prelims with a 1:44.37. In addition to scoring in the 200 back, he made the ‘B’ final in the 400 IM, finishing 12th in a 3:52.68. He also swam in prelims of the 100 back and 200 IM.
This past season, most of his season best times came from his conference championship. He swam a 1:45.63 200 back as well as a 3:57.76 400 IM. Punching his ticket to NCAAs, he swam in prelims of the 100 back, 200 back, 200 IM, and 400 IM. His highest finish was 21st in the 400 IM (3:58.33) and 100 back (48.31).
Rollen’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 100 back: 47.70
- 200 back: 1:44.37
- 200 IM: 1:46.86
- 400 IM: 3:52.68
The Cal Baptist men finished 2nd out of six teams at the 2025 Western Athletic Conference Championships with 776 points. UNLV captured the conference title with 802 points. Leading the way for Cal Baptist was Remi Fabiani, who notably went on to swim at 2025 NCAAs. Fabiani won conference titles in the 50 free (18.86), 100 free (41.83), and 100 back (45.40).
Based on his best times, Rollen’s has the potential to make an immediate impact at the conference level. His best times in the 100 back, 200 back, 200 IM, and 400 IM would have made the conference ‘A’ finals. His 200 back would have been 4th, an event the team only had one ‘A’ finalist in as Justin Welch was 5th in a 1:45.09.
