2022 SEC SWIMMING & DIVING CHAMPIONSHIPS

The heat sheets for the 5th and final day of the 2022 SEC Swimming & Diving Championships are now available, and with four days of racing by the wayside, there were no high scratches that we didn’t already know about.

The two top 10 scratches were Tennessee’s Ellen Walshe as the #9 seed in the women’s 100 free, and Florida’s Dillon Hillis as the #8 seed in the 100 free.

Walshe has already maxed out her allotment of individual events by winning the 200 IM, 400 IM, and 100 fly, just the third Tennessee swimmer to go 3-for-3 in the same SEC Championship.

Hillis skipped the 100 breast on Friday, where he was the defending champion, while in COVID-19 health and safety protocols.

Saturday’s finals prelims session will include the 200 backstroke, 100 freestyles, and 200 breaststrokes, women’s platform diving, and then in the afternoon the slower heats of the mile.
