On the 2nd day of the A-10 Champs, Duquesne women and George Washington men remained in the lead in the team battles. George Washington broke 2 conference records, 1 women’s and 1 men’s.

Moritz Fath won the men’s 500 for George Washington, dominating the A final to roar to the wall in 4:19.21. He established new A-10 conference and meet records, as well as a pool record and new school record. George Washington’s other record came in the women’s 200 free relay, where GW posted a 1:31.53 to take the title. Emily Zhang led off in 23.16, and was followed by Meghan Burton (22.97), Rebecca Smolcic (22.59), and Caroline Racke (22.81) combined to establish new conference, meet, pool and school records.

George Washington won 2 other events, the men’s 200 free relay and the men’s 50 free. Alex Auster (20.18), Dylan Arzoni (20.14), Max Forstenhaeusler (19.84), and Tommi Wolst (19.69) teamed up to swim a 1:19.85. Auster was also the winner of the men’s 50 free, clocking a 20.15 to edge out George Mason freshman Jacob Miller. Emma Brinton won the women’s 200 Im in a new meet record of 1:58.90, also breaking the pool record.

  • Dylan Peck took the men’s 200 IM title in 1:46.61
  • Ansley Baker won the women’s 50 fre in 22.93
