Defending Wisconsin high school state champs Madison Memorial and Monona Grove remain at the #1 positions in the WISCA rankings for the fourth consecutive week to open 2016.
Madison Memorial continues to far outpace the field in Division 1, for the state’s big schools. Memorial finished 3rd at the Maroon & Gold Invite at the University of Minnesota over the weekend, losing only to Minnesota powerhouse Eden Prairie and perennial Nebraska state champs Creighton Prep. That’s enough to keep Memorial on top of the Wisconsin rankings by more than 300 points.
A week after losing to Memorial and dropping a spot, Madison West is back up to 2nd place, narrowly passing Arrowhead.
In Division 2, for the state’s small schools, nothing has changed in the entire top 8 despite a big head-to-head upset. #2 McFarland actually beat out #1 Monona Grove by 2.5 points at the Sauk Prairie Invite, but did not leapfrog Monona Grove for the top ranking spot. Monona Grove has already beaten McFarland twice previously this season, and their previously-recorded times keep them #1 by 48 points.

The weekly WISCA polls are computer generated and based on the WISCA Top Times database.
The polls are generated at midnight each Sunday. Individuals are scored in their top two scoring events only.
Points are awarded as follows:
Individuals: 1st Place – 30 points – 30th Place – 1 point (1 point increments)
Relays: 1st Place – 60 points – 30th Place – 2 points (2 point increments)
