World Juniors Finalist Skye Carter Commits To Stanford For 2026

Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

World Juniors Finalist Skye Carter from England has announced her commitment to continue her academic and athletic careers at Stanford in 2026.

“officially COMMITTED 🌲🌺
Thank you so much to the coaches at Stanford for giving me this amazing opportunity and thank you to all my friends, family and coaches who have supported me every step of the way. I am so blessed to have so many special people in my life.
Excited for September !! GO CARD”

Carter swims for Mount Kelly Swimming and had represented Great Britain at the international level. Last August, she finaled in the 50 freestyle at the 2025 World Junior Championships. She finished 8th in a 25.56. Also in that final was current Stanford freshman Annam Olasewere as Olasewere touched 4th in a 24.96. Carter won silver in Great Britain’s mixed 4×100 free relay as she split a 54.63 on the 3rd leg.

Carter’s Best LCM Times (With SCY Conversions) Are:

  • 50 free: 25.15 (21.93)
  • 100 free: 54.78 (47.90)
  • 100 fly: 59.98 (52.77)

The Stanford women finished 2nd behind Virginia at both the 2026 ACC and 2026 NCAA Championships. Senior Torri Huske led the way, winning ACC titles in the 100 fly (48.26) and 200 IM (1:51.27). Huske went on to go three for three at 2026 NCAAs, winning the 50 free (20.66), 100 free (45.17), and 100 fly (48.49).

Based on her best converted times, Carter has the potential to make an immediate impact at both the conference and national level. Her best converted 50 and 100 frees would have made the ACC ‘B’ final while her best converted time in the 100 fly would have made the ACC ‘C’ final. She was only 0.01 off of what the cutline stood at in the 50 free as it took a 21.92, and it took a 47.69 in the 100 free.

The Stanford women will be in search of two new 200 free relay legs as both Huske and Gigi Johnson will have graduated. Johnson split a 21.44 flying start at 2026 NCAAs. Huske, Johnson, and fellow senior Lucy Bell swam on the 400 free relay to close NCAAs, so Carter will also look to help fill the gap in that relay as well.

Carter will arrive this fall as a member of the class of 2030 along with Taylor Klein, Alyce Lehman, KC Braeger, Clare Watson, and Tanni Stevanato. Lehman, Watson, and Klein are all BOTR ranked recruits while Braeger is an Honorable Mention recruit.

I think they’re looking good for Taylor in the 2027 class, too.

Maybe they can get some Cali girls from 28 like Tan? Brito? Maybe Reina Liu to round out the IM relays
