USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Kamile Zinis has signed a contract to swim and study at Indiana University beginning next fall. At the time of her commitment, she wrote on social media:

“I am so grateful to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Indiana University! I want to thank my coaches, family, and friends for supporting me through this process. I can’t wait for what’s next! Go hoosiers!❤️🤍”

Zinis hails from Willowbrook, Illinois. She swims for Hinsdale Central High School and FMC Aquatic Club and specializes in breaststroke, backstroke, and sprint freestyle. Most recently, Zinis competed at NCSA Spring Championships, where she finaled in the 50 breast (5th) and 100 breast (30th). She left the meet with new PBs in the 50 breast and 200 back.

Is Notre Dame taking bets on how many of these girls will hit the portal next year?

Good luck!

Can we get an update on all the Indiana girls who’ve quit or entered the portal? I keep hearing the list is growing.

An update would be great! Is there any way other than mining Instagram to see where athletes are tranferring? Swimcloud does not seem to have that feature, at least not yet.

It seems very quiet at the moment. I haven’t seen any girls communicating apart from Claire Stuhlmacher who goes to W&M. Or maybe some have stopped.

They lost a lot of girls—now just filling empty spots, hoping someone breaks out. If not, it’s cut, rinse and repeat next year. That’s the IU way.

IU has never cut, rinse, and repeat ever??? What are you saying they cut this year because of the roster limits. IU tends to usually actually take in walk ins and do what they can for them. The decision of people leaving is up to the swimmers
