Aidin Muminovic from Richmond, Virginia has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Louisville beginning in fall 2027.
“Team culture was huge for me and Louisville has it. The coaching staff is amazing and I could tell it starts with Coach Arthur and trickles down to every one. The program is solid from the inside out and I’m looking forward to being a Cardinal!”
Muminovic swims for NOVA of Virginia Aquatics and is currently competing at Winter Juniors-East in Indianapolis. He opened the meet with a season best 21.12 in the 50 free for 109th. He will be the first NOVA swimmer to compete for Louisville.
This past summer, he swam numerous lifetime best times at the Virginia Senior Championships. He was highlighted by a 4th place finish in the 100 back, touching in a 57.44. He also finished 8th in the 50 back with a 27.44 but was slightly faster in prelims with a 27.25. His 56.67 in the 100 fly also marked a lifetime best.
He is currently a junior at Trinity Episcopal School. In February, he finished 3rd in the 100 back with a 50.63 at the VISAA State Championship. He also was 6th in the 100 fly in a 50.83.
Muminovic’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 100 fly: 48.49
- 200 free: 1:39.72
- 100 free: 46.17
- 50 free: 20.76
- 100 back: 49.47
The Louisville men finished 5th out of 15 teams at the 2025 ACC Championships and went on to finish 14th at the 2025 NCAA Championships. The team was led by Denis Petrashov who finished 2nd in the 100 breast in a 50.27.
Muminovic has almost two years until he arrives in fall 2027. It took a 46.21 in the 100 fly, a 1:34.41 in the 200 free, and a 46.71 in the 100 back to earn a second swim at the 2025 ACC Championships.
Muminovic will arrive in fall 2027 as a member of the class of 2031 along with Isaac Litwiller, Ty Thomas, Jack Murphy, and Cale TeBeest.
