Virginia State Qualifier Lexi Osleger Commits to George Mason

The George Mason women will have a new breast/IMer on their hands next season, as Lexi Osleger has given her commitment to join the team in Fall 2017. Osleger is a native of Virginia, where she currently attends Stafford Senior High School. Her club training base is with the Rappahannock Y Swim Team.

Last season, Osleger qualified to swim 2 individual events at the Virginia 5A High School League Championships. Her highest finish at that meet came in the 100 breast, where she finished 11th overall. She also cracked the top 16 in the 200 IM, registering a 14th place finish in that event. Osleger then went on to compete at the Virginia Senior Long Course Championships during the long course portion of the season, racing in the 100 breast and 400 IM.

Osleger’s Top Times:

  • 100 breast- 1:06.61
  • 200 breast- 2:24.75
  • 200 IM- 2:13.05
  • 400 IM- 4:44.70

At George Mason, Osleger will join a breaststroke training group that includes Alison Barahona, who swam in the championship final of the 100 breast and scored in the B-final of the 100 breast at the 2016 Atlantic 10 Conference Championships as a sophomore. Additionally, 100 breast B-finalist Amy Tansill will be a part of that training group.
