This morning he was out at 54.0, compared to his 52.47 tonight. Yannick Agnel had a huge final 100, winning the race with a huge time of 1:46.99. Michael Phelps finished second with a 1:48.20. Michael Wynalda won the B-final of the men’s 200 freestyle with a time of 1:50.47.

i’m absolutely LOVING this camaraderie between Michael and Yannick.

I admittedly wasn’t a fan of Agnel when he ran us down in the Olympics…but he seems to be such a nice person. I love that they’re helping each other swim faster.

PS…for some reason, I think Michael’s next move might be coaching…I know he’s said definitely not in the past…but his recent shift in opinions have me thinking it’s possible…

“In a close race, he’ll get his hand on the wall first.”

High praise coming from one of the kings of digging deep/out touching.

“10 grand pianos on my back!”
😆
Come on MP. Very good first 200 free final.
You’re on track to swim 1.45 in August and be very precious for the US relay.

Yannick seems like a very nice person! Clearly he and Michael respect each other and they are becoming friends, which I’m sure will benefit both of them.
