Cary, NC – September 8, 2025 – The Triangle Aquatic Center (TAC) is thrilled to announce that 14 swimmers have been awarded Opportunity Scholarships this year, totaling more than $34,000 in financial assistance.
The Opportunity Scholarship is designed to ensure that cost is never a barrier for young athletes pursuing their passion for swimming. These scholarships give families with demonstrated financial need the help they need to stay on the team, part of the community, and continue chasing their dreams with the TAC TITANS. Here, they grow and develop as athletes and individuals, build lifelong skills, and create lasting friendships.
“Swimming provides opportunities for growth in and out of the pool,” said Derek Wall, Executive Director. “The sport teaches resilience, discipline, and teamwork. Thanks to our very generous supporters and community, we’re able to make these life-changing opportunities more accessible, regardless of financial circumstances.”
