TOWSON, Md. – The Towson University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams hosted George Mason for their final dual meet of 2025. The Tigers entered the holiday break strong as the Towson men and women each earned convincing victories over the Patriots.

How it Happened Women:
- Shannon Parrau swept the boards with wins in the 1 meter (285.38) and 3 meter dive (311.25).
- Addie Scott, Riley Willett, Julianna Wahl and Ryland Zuniga kicked off the swimming events with a win in the 200 medley relay.
- Kaitlyn Besner took the top spot in the 1000 free with a time of 10:20.77 and in the 500 free with a time of 5:03.49.
- Scott got her second win of the meet swimming 1:50.28 in the 200 free.
- Willett grabbed her second gold of the day with a time of 1:04.39 in the 100 breast.
- Britney Denny won the 200 fly with a time of 2:07.75.
- Bjartey Gudmundsdottir sprinted to a 50 free win with a time of 23.54 then won back-to-back events when she took the 100 free with a time of 52.03.
- Scott got back in the win column in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.19.
- Denny snagged her second win of the day with a time of 2:22.12 in the 200 breast.
- Willett won for the third time taking the 100 fly with a time of 56.20.
- Dylan Gustaff took first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:07.93.
- Emelia Erikson, Summer Bontrager, Willett and Scott capped off the meet with a win in the 200 free relay with a time of 3:26.92.
How it Happened Men:
- Aidan Clark won the 1 meter dive with a score of 303.45.
- Sam Tennell completed the Tiger’s sweep of the boards with a score of 324.90 to win the 3 meter dive.
- The team of Sean Colson, Jed Garner, Benjamin Eischied and Danial McLaughlin started off the men’s heats with a 200 medley relay win.
- Christian Davidson won the 1000 free with a time of 9:19.96 and completed a sweep of the distance events with a winning time of 4:34.89 in the 500 free.
- Colson kept up his winning ways taking the top spot in the 100 back with a time of 48.42.
- Garner got his second win of the day after swimming 54.01 in the 100 breast.
- Nicco Gurri touched the wall first by .01 seconds to win the 200 fly.
- Colson made it three wins on the day with a 1:44.94 in the 200 back.
- Garner got his third win of the meet taking the 200 breast with a time of 1:58.17.
Up Next:
The first meet of 2026 goes down Saturday, January 3 when the Towson men’s swimming and diving team hosts Navy at Burdick Pool. Diving will begin at 9 a.m. followed by the swimming events at 11 a.m.

TOWSON, Md. – The George Mason swimming and diving teams competed in the final event before the holiday break and dropped their duals to Towson at Burdick Pool in Towson, Md.
On the men’s side, senior Tate Anderson won three events, the 50-yard freestyle (20.67), 100-yard freestyle (45.38) and 200-yard freestyle (1:37.73). Freshman Robert Dykman placed third in the 200-yard freestyle (1:42.14) and sophomore Gabriel Miller was third in the 100-yard freestyle (46.19).
Senior Aoun Al-Hiari took the top spot in the 100-yard butterfly (48.12) and was second in the 200-yard butterfly (1:51.22). Sophomore Ryan Serbia won the 200-yard IM (1:52.73) and in the 100-yard freestyle, Serbia and junior Alex Crown tied for second (9:36.14).
Junior Ian Rodgers touched the wall second in the 100-yard backstroke (49.28) and finished third in the 200-yard backstroke (1:50.78).
The team of graduate student Agustin Rasche, Anderson, Rodgers and Miller won the 400-yard freestyle relay (2:59.48). In the 200-yard medley relay, the combination of senior Jack Chapman, Rodgers, Al-Hiari and Miller took second (1:30.06).
Junior Christian Anderson placed second in both the one-meter (292.50) and three-meter (279.75).
On the women’s side, freshman Sidney Kaufman won the 100-yard backstroke (56.82) with classmate Lucy Daniel third in the event (58.90). Kaufman was fourth in the 200-yard backstroke (2:06.60).
Junior Casey Tingen placed second in the 200-yard IM (2:08.41) and fourth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.75). In the 100-yard breaststroke, junior Kristen Ivey touched the wall second (1:07.11) while freshman Landry Liston was third (1:07.38).
Senior Peyton Brehmer took second in the 50-yard freestyle (52.79) and was third in the 100-yard butterfly (56.93). In the 200-yard breaststroke, senior Ainsley Toews placed second (2:22.15) with classmate Angelina Zeidan fourth (2:26.04).
The combination of Kaufman, Toews, Brehmer and Tingen finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:46.23).
The Patriots are back in action when they travel to take on Delaware on Jan. 17 with the meet scheduled for noon in Newark, Del.
