Samantha Casolo of Frederick, Maryland has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Towson University beginning in the fall of 2020. Casolo trains year round with the Monocacy Aquatic Club.
I am so excited to announce my commitment to swim and study at Towson University! I chose Towson because of the hardworking team atmosphere and strong coaching staff. The swim team at Towson feels like a family, and I can’t wait to spend the next four years as a tiger!
Last summer, at the Futures Championships-Geneva, Casolo was a finalist in the 100 and 200 fly, finishing 18th and 19th respectively. Her time of 1:02.95 in the 100 fly was fast enough to earn the qualifying standard for 2019 Winter Juniors. At the 2019 NBAC Christmas Invitational she swam best times in the 100 fly (55.97) and 200 fly (2:03.57).

Casolo will make an immediate impact on the team after arriving on campus this fall. At last years Colonial Athletic Conference (CAA) Championships she would have qualified for the A-final in the 200 fly and the B-final of the 100 fly. Towson finished third overall at the meet.
