Grace Isaacs, a current high school senior from Charleston, South Carolina, has committed to swim for Division I Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Isaacs will graduate from Oceanside High School in spring 2021 and join the Flames’ class of 2025.
Isaacs currently swims for the Wahoo Aquatic Club and is a Sectionals and Futures qualifier. At the 2020 South Carolina Swimming Senior State Championships, Isaacs placed 6th in both the 200 IM (2:08.28) and 400 IM (4:33.49).
She also placed 8th in the 100 butterfly at the 2019 Speedo Champions Series – Greensboro with a time of 56.49.

At the 2020 CCSA Championships with the Flames, Isaacs would have made a huge impact on the team by qualifying for A-finals in multiple events with her current best times. Most notably, she would have placed 5th in both the 200 butterfly (2:03.57) and 400 IM (4:23.81), 7th in both the 200 IM (2:04.03) and 200 freestyle (1:51.53) and 8th in the 100 butterfly (56.01).
With these times, she would have been Liberty’s 2nd fastest swimmer in the 100 butterfly and 400 IM and 3rd fastest in the 200 IM at this meet.
At the CCSA Championships this year, the Flames claimed the conference title for the second consecutive year under coaches Jake Shellenberger and Jessica Barnes. The team was also given CSCAA Scholar-All American status and four swimmers were given CSCAA Individual Scholar All-American awards.
