Every winter, the tropical waters of the Florida Keys come alive with speed, power, and passion as college swim teams from across the nation gather in paradise for one of the most exhilarating meets of the year — The Orange Bowl Swim Classic.
This high-octane, sprint-style competition caps off weeks of Orange Bowl Winter Training, held annually from early December through mid-January. It’s where the season’s grind meets the sunshine — and every race counts.
Fast. Fierce. Unforgettable.
The Orange Bowl Swim Classic isn’t your average meet.
In just two hours, 6–8 NCAA teams go head-to-head in a non-stop showcase of sprint events — each one louder, faster, and more electric than the last. From powerhouse programs like Michigan, Texas A&M, Indiana, Duke, and Alabama, to rising challengers like Trinity College and the United States Air Force Academy, the Classic brings together some of the nation’s most competitive squads.
The deck buzzes with energy — pre-race cheers echo under the palm trees, teammates line the lanes shouting support, and the crowd fuels every finish. It’s swimming, sunshine, and sportsmanship rolled into one unforgettable afternoon.
