The University of Texas men continue to hold their spot at the top of the January edition of the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA) dual meet poll, taking the #1 spot for the 4th consecutive time this season. The Longhorns lead #2 Arizona State (384 points) with 400 points.

The Longhorns did not compete in any dual meets in December, keeping their record at 2-0 from October. The two teams behind them, Arizona State and Indiana, each stayed put at #2 and #3, respectively.

The University of Florida marked the first change from the December polls, moving up one spot ahead of Cal, back to #4 where they were last ranked in the November poll before dropping to #5. The Gators’ dual meet record currently at 5-1, while the Golden Bears of Cal sit at 2-2 on the season thus far.

Florida earned wins over SEC opponents LSU (156-105) and Auburn (193.5-105.5) to open 2026 and will take on in-state rival Florida State on January 30th.

Ohio State and Virginia Tech tied for the biggest jump from December, with both schools leapfrogging six spots, with the Buckeyes moving from #16 into the top 10 at #10 following a big win over Michigan 167-133.

The Hokies, on the back of an upset over Virginia (now ranked #25, previously #21) joined the top 25 rankings at #19, after previously being unranked in the CSCAA’s December dual meet rankings.

Virginia, Wisconsin, and LSU each dropped four spots in the latest dual meet rankings; the Cavalier men hold a 2-5 record on the season, taking a 53-point loss to Virginia Tech but securing a win over Penn State (133-85). Virginia will swim against ACC foes NC State tomorrow, after originally being scheduled to race in a two-day meet with the Wolfpack due to incoming winter weather.

Wisconsin dropped from #19 to outside of the top 20 to #23, with their most recent defeat coming at the hands of inner conference opponent Northwestern on the road, 133-161 in favor of the Wildcats. Wisconsin now sits at 5-2.

LSU stayed within the top 20 at #18, but fell out of the top 15 as they were in December, where they were previously ranked #14 following the loss to the Gators.
