Queens University’s Polina Lapshina has been named the swimming representative for the NCAA Division II Honda Award for the second-straight year.
Polina Lapshina of Queens broke the pool record in the 50 free with the top qualifying time of the morning of 22.44.
Drury’s Bailee Nunn is the meet record-holder in the women’s 50 free which takes place on Day 1 of the 2020 NCAA Division II Championships.
A handful of Gamecock standouts highlighted the meet with wins. Lewis Burras earned a sprint sweep for the men. Both the men and women beat Queens and UNCW.
Freshmen showed up big for both teams, claiming victory in 5 women’s events.
The Queens University of Charlotte women began its national title defense, winning nine races against Division I Davidson, Georgia Southern and UNC Asheville.
