In 1976 the Branin Natatorium was brand new and Canton was a good place for a bunch of young Olympic swimmers to stay focused on the tasks ahead of us.
Since our last look at the records back in July of 2015, only 2 of the 10 oldest NAG records have been broken, but there’s a fresh class of contenders hungry to get their names in the history books.
Zachary Hojnacki, the Head Age Group Coach for the prestigious Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics, is taking over as the head coach of the Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester “Marlins” Swim Team.

With the next month or so likely to bring with it a healthy wave of new National Age Group (NAG) records, SwimSwam decided to take a look at the current record book for the oldest NAGs on record.
