What is the #Swimming Community Doing for #GivingTuesday?

Tuesday, December 3, 2013 marks the second annual national day of giving. Falling right after Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday™ is a campaign to create a national day of giving at the start of the annual holiday season. It celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support non-profit organizations.

The swimming community is a generous one. There is a large number of charitable organizations in which swimmers are involved, including, just to name a few:

Aaron Peirsol’s hike for We Are Ocean (the story)

Collegians for the Cure raising money for BCRF

Eric Shanteau’s Swim for Your Life

Jessie Rees Foundation’s JoyJars

Michael Phelps Foundation

Super Swimmers Foundation

Swim4Good’s swim for Worldreader (the story)

Team Theo
