Cole Faut from Goodyear, Arizona has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Arizona beginning in fall 2026.

Faut swims for Phoenix Swim Club and finished his long course season at Summer Juniors. There he posted a lifetime best in the 50 fly with a 24.88 to finish 26th. He also posted best times in the 50 back (27.53) and 100 fly (55.30).
In March, he finished his short course season at Sectionals in Austin. He swam to best times in almost all of his events and had his highest finish come in the 50 free as he was 13th in a 20.70. He was slightly faster in prelims with a 20.64.
Faut’s Best SCY Times Are:
- 50 free: 20.64
- 100 free: 45.31
- 100 fly: 49.39
Faut will travel about two hours south to Tucson, Arizona. The Arizona men finished 2nd at the 2025 Big 12 Championships with 1301 points. Arizona State captured the conference title with 1912 points. Tomas Lukminas led the way for Arizona with 78 individual points.
It took a 20.08 in the 50 free, 44.06 in the 100 free, and a 48.30 in the 100 fly to make it back at the 2025 Big 12 Championships. Lukminas was the only ‘A’ finalist for the team in the 50 free as he was 6th in a 19.36. Arizona State took the other seven spots in the ‘A’ final of the event.
Faut will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2030 along with Vito Sgroi, Lucas Morin, and Will Harrison.
