Somhegyi Named Summit League Swimmer of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. – IUPUI’s Krisztian Somhegyi was named Summit League Men’s Diver of the Week and Omaha’s Miranda Knipfer earned Women’s Diver of the Week for their performance during the week of Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

KRISZTIAN SOMHEGYI, IUPUI
Fr. // Gyal, Hungary

  • Collects his second Summit League Diver of the Week award of the year and second in his career
  • Freshman finished first in both dives (one-meter, three-meter) in dual meet at Cincinnati over the weekend
  • Eclipsed his own top mark in the league with a score of 318.40 in the three-meter dive
  • His one-meter score of 282.45 was second-best in the league in 2015

Previous honorees: Oct. 13 – Chase Testa, South Dakota; Oct. 20 – Krisztian Somhegyi, IUPUI.

MIRANDA KNIPFER, OMAHA
Sr. // Omaha, Neb.

  • Named Diver of the Week for the second time in her career and the first time this season
  • Posted her season-high mark (238.19) in the one-meter en route to a second-place finish in dual at Iowa State
  • Her one-meter score moves her into fifth-place on the league’s season top-ten list
  • Added a third-place finish in the three-meter dive with a mark of 247.87

Also nominated: Bailey Wills, IUPUI.
