ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis swimming and diving concluded the regular season Friday night with a pair of victories at Missouri-St. Louis.

The Billiken men won 114-91, while the Billiken women prevailed 106-96.

Logan Townsend was a double winner for the SLU men, touching first in the 100 free (46.69) and 200 free (1:43.01).

Brae Sanchez and Kyle Algrim won individual events and were part of a victorious relay team. Sanchez captured the 100 breast (56.61), Algrim topped the field in the 1000 free (10:04.66), and the pair joined Evan Crim and Drayton Beber to win the 200 medley relay (1:34.43).

Zach Byars and Ben Militti contributed victories in the 100 back (53.50) and 500 free (4:48.59), respectively.

Meghan Eng and Kenna Cashman led the SLU women. Eng claimed the 100 back (58.21), Cashman touched first in the 100 breast (1:06.19), and the duo swam with Marissa Williams and Anya Brueggeman on the winning 200 medley relay team (1:47.96).

Faith McAdam collected a win in the 100 fly (58.91), and the 200 free relay squad of Brueggeman, Izabel SchmidtSarah Dingus and Hanna Whitney capped the meet by taking first in the 200 free relay (1:37.68).

The Billikens compete in the Atlantic 10 Championships Feb. 18-21 in Hampton, Va.

ST. LOUIS – The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s and women’s swimming teams celebrated Senior Night on Friday evening as the Tritons hosted Saint Louis University at the UMSL Swimming Pool.

The Tritons fell 114-91 in the men’s competition and 106-96 in the women’s meet.

Justice Beard led the women’s team, winning the 1,000 free (10:22.79), 200 free (1:54.01) and 500 free (5:05.66). Audrey Lantz was the winner in the 50 free (24.40) and 100 free (54.30) while Libby Smith won the 400 individual medley (4:45.25).

Romina Itzkovich took second in the 100 fly (59.56) and Kayla Rompala was second in the 100 free (54.71). Ella Lantz was the runner-up in the 100 back (58.43) and the 200 free relay squad of A. Lantz, Madison Bottorff, Itzkovich and Rompala finished second in a time of 1:38.08.

Touching first for the men’s team were Lathan Parks in the 50 free (21.56) as he edged out teammate Gabriel Wells (21.62) for the victory. The Tritons picked up 16 points in the 400 IM with Aaron Wicklund winning in a time of 4:10.75 while Mattia Nardi (4:11.05) and Adam Campbell (4:14.85) finished second and third respectively.

Kaleb Suitor won the 100 fly (51.27) while Campbell was third at 52.26. Gentry Comstock finished second in the 100 free (47.84) and Landon HanesworthDylan Bonnett and Wicklund were second through fourth in the 100 breast. Hanesworth had a time of 58.75, Bonnett finished at 59.17 and Wicklund (59.48).

UMSL’s 200 free relay foursome of Parks, Joan Cortadellas Llubera, Wells and Suitor won in a time of 1:24.40 while its quartet of Maxwell Wetteland, Hanesworth, Suitor and Parks turned in a time of 1:35.25.

The Tritons travel to O’Fallon, Ill., on Saturday afternoon taking on McKendree and Lewis in its final tune up for the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship meet starting at 1:30 p.m. at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.
