This is the info I’m here for!

I’m honestly fine paying for a whole month if it gets all of the conference meets! (And then accidentally paying for two months when I forget to cancel)

Well in Gretchen’s TikTok Kate did a 150 breast (1:30.0, out in 58.4 I think), Gretchen 20.90, stadden 1:48.8 and Alex 2:05 2 breast after lift + morning practice

The final event selections for a number of female athletes should be interesting:

Bell, L.
Bricker, C.
Canny, A.
Curzan, C.
Grimes, K. (1650 FR vs 200 BK)
Huske, T.
Sims, B.
West, M.

Bell does both IMs and the 200 BR
Bricker does both IMs and the 200 FL
Canny does the 200/500 FR and the 200 BR
Curzan does both backstrokes and the 100 FL
Grimes does the 500, mile, and 400 IM
Huske does the 100 FL, 100 FR, and 200 IM
Sims does the backstrokes and 200 FR
West does the 200 FR, 200 IM, and 200 FL

Just my predictions but I could be totally wrong lol

What I would find of interest is the instances where events selection is impacted by the modified event order. Where choices strictly based on quality of the events for a particular athlete are mangled by the new order putting 2 of the athlete’s primary events, previously separated in the schedule, next to each other.

Interested to see how many choose 2IM and 2Fly now on same day

Fr! Like WHY are they on the same day – so many swimmers do both events! Same goes for the 200 BK/IM double, on an even grander scale. Imo the 200 IM should be on day 3 and the 200 breast should be on day 4.

I never understood why that change was made. There was no reason to move the 200 IM (500 FR, 200 IM, 50 FR).

There were way too many changes implemented to the event schedule. What should have been the revised event schedule:

Day 3
100 BK, 500 FR, 200 IM, 50 FR

Day 4
200 BK, 100 FR, 200 BR, 200 FL

If Todd DeSorbo plays his cards right, the University of Virginia women’s swimming program has a chance to sweep the relays.

W 4 x 50 M-R
Curtis-Weber-Curzan-Greenwaldt

C. Novelline would get clobbered on the butterfly leg versus T. Huske.

W 4 x 200 FR-R
Canny-Mintenko-Moesch-xxxxx

A number of candidates to choose from as the fourth relay swimmer:

Gormsen, C.
Grimes, K.
Hartman, B.
Hayes, L.

Forget about chasing NCAA relay records without A Walsh & G. Walsh, the NCAA relay records have become untouchable.

For the Big 10’s you need the B1G+ network which is a standalone streamer. $12.99 month although look around, there are sometimes deals.

Also will I be able to watch any of the meets on ESPN if I don’t have a TV provider? Last year I was able to watch NCAAs just by subbing to ESPN+ without a provider, but I’d love to watch conferences live too so I’m curious

Look into ESPN select, which is a stand alone subscription based app with all ESPN programming. Some other streaming platforms have it included. Purchase it for this month and next (NCAAs) and dump it if you don’t like it or the price.

Is ESPN select the bundle that includes Disney+ and hulu for $35.99 or just the ESPN for $29.99?

ESPN select is only $12 and is only streaming. ESPN unlimited is the $29.99 option with linear channels included

ESPN Unlimited is mostly a scam to extract more money from its own ESPN Plus customers. As befits what we know about greedy, public American companies, ESPN has blocked ESPN Plus customers from watching certain sports events/matches/games that have long been part of the Plus package/contract—moving them to Unlimited to push Plus customers into upgrading their package, at higher cost. It’s the worst sort of corporate BS.

ESPN has had this strange habit of not broadcasting the first 3 days of the SEC women’s meet and then jumping into to broadcast the last 2 (maybe 3) days–missing most of the big races. Not sure why. I’m not sure if they’ve been doing the same with the SEC men’s meet.

Knowing what Bob did to get the Paris Olympics Schedule changed, it wouldn’t surprise me if the he asked the SEC schedule to be changed.
Also does anyone know where I can find psych sheets for SECs and Big 10s? I don’t see them on the websites

The SEC is following the NCAA championship schedule and always has when changes occurred. Psych sheet is out but will be adjusted tomorrow when athletes not competing are removed.

No they are not. NCAA is 3 1/2 day format. SEC is 4 1/2 format (with some weirdness driving )

3 1/2 day format is kaput. It is now a full 4 day format.

There are morning and evening sessions (both) on Wednesday through Saturday.
