SCHSL 4A Finalist Lily Kerr Commits to Arkansas at Little Rock

Lily Kerr from Hilton Head Island, South Carolina has committed to swim for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. “I am so excited to announce that I have committed to swim for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock! I took my first official visit to UALR, and after my trip I knew that this was where I wanted to be. The school has such a positive atmosphere. I can’t wait to be a part of such an amazing team, and to be under the coaching staff of Coach Burgess. Go Trojans!”

Kerr swims for Hilton Head High School, which finished third in the team standings at the 2016 SCHSL 4A Championships in October. Kerr came in seventh in the 200 free (2:02.54) and fifth in the 500 free (5:25.53); she also led off the HHD tenth-place 200 free relay. Outside of high school she swims year-round for Hilton Head Aquatics under coach Mike Lane. Kerr specializes in distance freestyle and butterfly.

Kerr had a very successful 2015-16 swim season, earning best times in all of her events at the end-of-season TAC Titans Tarheel State meet in March.

Her best events are:

  • 500 free – 5:20.54 SCY
  • 1650 free – 18:20.50 SCY
  • 200 fly – 2:13.85 SCY
  • 100 fly – 1:01.79 SCY

Kerr will join Texas’ Fey Matamoros and North Carolina’s Regan Lawrence in the class of 2021 at University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
