ORANGE — Competing in the team’s final meet of 2025, the San Diego women’s swimming and diving team put together an excellent showing Saturday afternoon at the Allred Aquatics Center as they earned 14 first-place finishes as a squad.
The Toreros were competing against both Chapman and Fresno Pacific on a sunny Southern California day as the team looks forward to a few weeks away from competition after their fantastic collective performance.
Leading the way for USD on Saturday was stellar racing from Skylar Bruner who earned a pair of first place finishes while racing in both the 1,000 freestyle and 200 backstroke.
Not to be out done, Sydney Wilson also turned in a pair of strong times and first place finishes while competing in the 500 freestyle and the 200 individual medley.
On the diving side, San Diego’s trio excelled in both the one and three meter dive as Morgan Divita put together the best combined score in both the one and three meter dive.

The Toreros will now enjoy a break ahead of the holidays before returning to the pool in early 2026 as they will compete against Vanderbilt on January 2 at 10:00 a.m. from San Diego State’s Aztec Aquaplex.

ORANGE, Calif.— Chapman Swim & Dive hosted Divison I University of San Diego and Division II Fresno Pacific Saturday at the Allred Olmpic Pool. The high tops which represents the women’s program went 1-1, defeating FPU 207-69 while falling to USD 211-87. San Diego does not have a men’s program, so the low tops only compete against Fresno Pacific, winning 208-80.
During diving, high tops dominated to start off the day. Reid Omilian dominated on the 1 meter scoring 308.90 points. Fellow Panther Jake Randazzo finished in second with 246.05 points. On the three meter, Omilian scored 318.70 points while Randazzo followed scoring 250.60.
During the swimming portion, Trent Calloway led the low tops setting a new pool record in the 50 yard freestyle going a blistering 20.69. He then followed up that first place finish, going first in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:04.90. Derek Jones led the way in the 1000 yard freestyle going a 10:05.32 over the 40 consecutive laps. To finish out the men’s end, James Galligan finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke and 100 yard freestye going a 58.77 in tbe breaststroke and a 47.59 in the freestyle.
On the high tops side, Elise Kittleson led the way placing second in the 100 yard freestyle going 54.12. Tatum Chambers followed up going a 24.89 in the 50 yard freestyle and a 55.03 in the 100 yard freestyle. Sydney Snider led the way on the 200 yard breaststroke dropping two and a half seconds to swim a 2:44.15. Annika Mittelsteadt went a 2:02.18 in the 200 yard freestyle. Poet DeBoom went a 2:11.66 in the 200 yard backstroke to represent the high tops’ top performances according to Swim Cloud.
Chapman Swim & Dive will take time off for the next month before returning to host fellow SCIAC member La Verne on Jan. 3, 2026.
