It’s official! 12-time Olympic medalist Ryan Lochte will be tying the knot with Kayla Rae Reid after he popped the question in Los Angeles on Sunday night. Lochte posted a picture with his fiancee to instagram, showing off the new diamond ring on her finger.
Since they first met on Tinder, Reid has been posting glimpses of her relationship with Lochte through social media over the past few months, sharing videos of the couple working out together with their fans. She even traveled to Rio to support Lochte, where he won an Olympic gold medal as part of Team USA’s 800 free relay.

Since Lochte left Rio, Reid has stuck by his side in light of the gas station scandal that resulted in a 10-month suspension handed to him by USA Swimming.
It appears life outside of the water is going well for Lochte, as he’s newly engaged and currently making national headlines as a contestant on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Last week, Lochte advanced to the next round of DWTS with his partner Cheryl Burke. He’ll be taking the stage again tomorrow night to see if he’ll get to advance to week 6.
Even though he isn’t swimming, Lochte has still been spending some time around the pool. He recently took a break from a dance practice to help coach an elementary school swim team.

Two big problems I see are Ryan’s conversation skills and then neither of them really have jobs. They are trying the Kardashian method to fame but it rarely works. Can a swimmer really make it as a celebrity? His interviews are really bad. I would vote the under on 2 years.

Am I the only one that remembers when he got interviewed at the Olympics and they asked him if he had a girlfriend and he said no? I remember it so much because he had posted pictures with her even before trials but denied being in a relationship in Rio.
Maybe they wanted to keep their relationship private to keep all the gossip mongers away.

No, he said he was single AND had been spotted with numerous other girls since their relationship allegedly began, even once after Rio.
He said he decided she was “the one” after she supported him during the scandal while his other friends became distant. I know that sounds great but…

I get pvdh,s drift when he/she says it,s will last less than a year. Over here we have a habit of having bets on when “American” celebrity marriages will crash and burn because we feel divorce is part of American culture. Don’t know whether the 50% divorce rate is real or a myth.
With no fault divorce, marriages ” the vows” mean nothing so I,m very sceptical. So we,ll be having bets on how long lochte,s marriage will last.
