WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s swimming & diving team topped West Chester, 179-115. The win brings the Quakers to 10-2, winning five of their last six matchups.

The Quakers came out victorious in 12 events Friday night. Of the 12 wins, the only repeat winner was freshman Connie Wang, who placed first in the 50 free (23.65) and 100 free (50.15). The other ten individual event winners were held by ten unique Quakers. Senior Anna Moehn stands out with her victory, clocking in her win in the 200 fly a full five seconds faster than second place.

On the diving board, Sadie HowardSophie Slayden, and Rachel Yang took the top three spots in some form in both dives. Howard took first and third in the 1-meter and 3-meter dive, respectively. Yang took second and first, while Slayden took third and second.

WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The University of Pennsylvania men’s swimming and diving team took down West Chester, 181-111. The win brings them to 6-5, with five wins in their last six matchups.

A day after topping La Salle, two Quakers were repeat winners. Sophomore Watson Nguyen secured first in the 100 breast for the second day in a row, this time with a 53.37. Senior James Curreri did the same in the 200 back (1:48.36). Freshman Aaron Jia had a strong day, winning both the 500 (4:33.46) and 1000 free (9:16.77).

On the diving board, freshman Jack Handelman and sophomore Victor Dang dominated the rankings with Handelman claiming first and Dang second in both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.

WEST CHESTER, PA – Lenya Ryan (Wilmington, DEL/Mt. Pleasant) made the most of her Senior Night with three first-place ribbons, but it was not enough to overcome University of Pennsylvania in a non-conference women’s swim meet inside Graham Natatorium Friday evening, 179-115.

West Chester celebrated Senior Night in a brief ceremony before the final regular-season dual meet. The Golden Rams honored their two seniors, Isabella Kil (Enola, PA/East Pennsboro), and Ryan.

Ryan won both breaststrokes and the 200-yard Individual Medley to highlight her historic senior celebration meet. Meanwhile, Kil was runner-up to Ryan in all three of those events while helping the 200 medley relay finish second as well. Ryan was on the fourth-place ‘B’ squad in the 200 medley relay as well.

Greta Saville (Mordialloc, Australia) placed second in the 200 free in a time of 1:54.27 while Ditta Kowalik (State College, PA/State College Area) was third in 1:55.48 and local swimmer, Sam Heiland (West Chester, PA/West Chester East), fourth in 1:55.64.

Molly Hubal (Archbald, PA/Valley View) placed third in the 100 breast behind both Ryan and Kil as the Golden Rams swept the top three spots in that event. She placed fourth in the 200 breast as the purple & gold contingent took three of the top four spots there.

Lava Piuva (Malmo, Sweden) was runner-up in the 50 free (24.02), and Heiland was fourth (24.43). Piuva placed third in the 100 free just ahead of Heiland again. Samantha Kil (Enola, PA/East Pennsboro) was sixth.

Michalina Jasinska (Warsaw, Poland) was second in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:03.80 while Allie DeFrehn (Mullica Hill, NJ/Clearview Regional) was third in 2:07.34.

On the diving boards, Alicia McHugh (Jenkintown, PA/Abington) was the highest Golden Rams diver in the 1-meter competition with a fifth-place showing while Kacey Lenz (Swarthmore, PA/Ridley) placed fifth off the 3m springboard to pace the Golden Rams’ trio. She was sixth in the 1m event. McHugh placed sixth in the 3m competition.

West Chester’s divers will head to the Division II PA Invitational hosted by Clarion University on Feb. 13-14 while the swimmers will begin preparations for the 2026 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Swimming Championships, which will take place Feb.  18-21 at the YMCA in York, Pa.

Brzozowski started off the evening as leadoff for West Chester’s 200 medley relay that finished third in 1 minute, 31.20 seconds. Christian Henry (York, PA/Central York)Till Schroeder (Wiesbaden, Germany) and Augustus Miller (Pittsburgh, PA/North Allegheny) followed Brzozowski into the pool on that relay.

Demesy then swam the 1000 free in 9:20.24 to place second while teammate Szymon Kapala (Olsztyn, Poland) placed fourth in 9:30.00 flat.

Local product, Jacob Texter (West Grove, PA/Avon Grove), enjoyed an excellent meet starting it off with a runner-up showing in the 200 freestyle and a third-place effort in the 100 free. He also helped the 400 freestyle win the final event of the evening. He was the second swimmer in the pool off that relay which also included Noah Shand (Brighton, MI/Brighton)Marti Rosell Diez (L’Albiol, Spain) and Schroeder. In addition to swimming both relays, Schroeder also finished runner-up in the 50 free and fifth in the 100 free. Connor Williams (Washington Crossing, PA/Council Rock North) placed fourth in the 50 free behind Schroeder.

Brzozowski placed third in the 100 backstroke (49.36) just ahead of Miller (50.87) in fourth. Nagy was runner-up in the 200 fly (1:49.91) while Nathan Noel (Destrehan, LA/Destrehan) was fourth. Noel was fifth in the 200 back, and Diez was sixth. Brzozowski won the 100 fly in 50.46 while Corson was second (50.64) and Miller third (51.95).

Nagy won the 200 Individual Medley in a time of 1:51.14). Noel was right behind in second (1:54.17) and Nickolas Snyder (York, PA/Central York) was third in 1:55.83.

On the diving boards, Dominik Horning (Williamsport, PA/Loyalsock) was the highest Golden Rams diver on both the 1-meter and 3m springboards finishing third each time. Michael Finlaw (Warrington, PA/Central Bucks South) and Jed Alderfer (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth-Whitemarsh) were fourth and fifth, respectively, on each board behind Horning.
