BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The Pacific swim and dive program earned a 127-83 victory over Cal State Bakersfield on the women’s side but came up short on the men’s side in a 126-82 decision on Friday afternoon from the John S. Hillman Memorial Aquatic Center.
Redshirt senior Diana Chan played a key role for the Pacific women, helping notch four first-place finishes en route to the Tigers’ fourth win of the 2025-26 campaign. The men dropped to 1-2 on the year.
Chan opened up the competition as part of the women’s 200 yard medley relay where Pacific finished first in the process of recording a time of 1:46.51 in that event. Chan swam the fastest in the women’s 100 yard backstroke with a time of 56.98 and in the women’s 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.32. She wrapped up the day in the women’s 400 freestyle relay, swimming the third leg in Pacific’s first-place nod there.
Sophomore Christina Agiomamitou picked up a pair of first-place finishes on Friday, touching the wall first in the women’s 200 yard freestyle (1:52.22) and in the women’s 500 yard freestyle (5:04.62).
Junior Lexxi Chavez scored four points each for Pacific as she competed in the one-meter and three-meter diving events.
On the men’s side of swimming, freshman Raphael Vanhecke represented a bright spot for the Tigers, earning first-place finishes in the men’s 200 yard IM (1:51.04) and in the men’s 200 yard freestyle (1:39.06). Sophomore Nate Rasmussen posted a runner-up finish behind Vanhecke in the men’s 200 yard freestyle, clocking in at 1:39.14.
The Tigers continue on the road as they prepare for their next meet at UC Santa Barbara on Monday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. in Santa Barbara, California.

BAKERSFIELD, CA – Seattle U men’s and women’s swimming concluded their 2-day trip to Southern California on Saturday after battling Cal State Bakersfield and Pacific. The Redhawk men defeated Pacific on day one while dropping both matchups with the host Roadrunners. The women dropped both battles on Friday before bouncing back with a win over CSUB on Saturday.
“These were tough meets traveling after a heavy block of winter training and racing outdoors with temps in the 40’s and low 50’s,” Head Coach Joe Dykstra said. “I’m excited for us to get back indoors next week and then to start sharpening up leading into conference.” “I’m especially proud of the women’s team for defeating CSUB each of the last two days. FRIDAY
The Redhawks combined to take home nine first place finishes in the tri-meet with Cal State Bakersfield and Pacific on day one. The men’s team finished in 2nd with a score of 80 while the women’s team finished 3rd with 78 points.
Lila McGeachy and Brendan Ryan also both set new entries in the program’s record book in the 1000 Freestyle, with McGeachy setting the 6th fastest time on the women’s side at 10:30.54 and Ryan coming in at 10th with a finish of 9:40.59 on the men’s side.

SATURDAY
Day two saw the Redhawks in a straight dual with the host Roadrunners, with the women’s team getting the head-to-head win at 141-114 and the men falling 118-170.
It was another 11 combined 1st place finishes for the Redhakws on day two, and Danielis Kvederis set continued to etch his name in the record books with the 3rd fastest time in 200 Butterly at 1:49.02.
