Kyra Kondis of Machine Aquatics in Virginia has signed a National Letter of Intent to swim for Southern Methodist University.

Kondis is a freestyler who should be a solid contributor and a strong relay option for the Mustangs. Her top times are 23.97 in the 50, 52.08 in the 100, and 1:52.79 in the 200.

SMU will look to Kondis to help chase a team title in the brand-new American Athletic Conference. Kondis will be a freshman for SMU’s second season in the conference.
