NC State Rebuilding: The Difference Between Managing and Teaching (Video)

After the Pro Swim Series stop in Greensboro, SwimSwam embarked on the East Coast Pancake Tour 2019. This tour will be taking fans to various swimming programs along the east coast for Practice + Pancakes, Beyond the Pancakes, and maybe a few more pancake goodies thrown in.

SwimSwam sat down with NC State head coach Braden Holloway (you can watch the rest of that interview here) while we were in Raleigh. After losing 2 very big classes with stars such as Ryan Held, Andreas Vazaios, Anton Ipsen, Justin Ress, and Jacob Molacek, the wolfpack men are in a state of rebuilding. Holloway describes the difference in athletes, and how with last years class, he was more used to “managing” them. With this new crop of athletes, he used the phrase “teaching” when describing his interactions with them.
