More tickets will be available during drop 2 of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics with that drop occurring in August 2026. Tickets for swimming sold out during the allotted amount in the local sale and drop 1.
LA28 announced on social media, “Drop 2 will take place in August with refreshed inventory across all Olympic sports at a range of price points. Registration for the LA28 Olympic Ticket Draw* to get randomly selected for a spot in Drop 2 is open through July 22, 2026.”
Although it is unknown if all price ranges will be available, ticket prices started at $49.61 for prelims and $104.19 for finals during the local/drop 1 that began on April 3. Ticket inventory numbers are also unknown.

Anyone can sign up to register for a ticket draw with the potential of earning a time slot during drop 2. Registration is open now through July 22, 2026.
Ticket Data From Drop 1
- More than 4 million tickets were sold during the local sale as well as drop 1.
- 95% of all tickets under $100 were sold during the LA and Oklahoma City local presale, and ~500,000 $28 tickets went to locals
- Women’s sessions (93%) outsold men’s sessions (88%)
- Tickets were sold across 85 countries and all 50 states
- Artistic gymnastics sold out the quickest of drop 1 inventory
The LA Olympics organizing committee set a budget of ~$7 billion for the Games and expect $2.5 billion in revenue from ticket and hospitality sales. Hospitality sessions are currently available for swimming through On Location.
