Saturday’s Preliminary Results
WORCESTER, Mass.- — MIT swept all six events to add to its advantage on day three of the 2025 NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Championship on Saturday night at the WPI Sport and Recreation Center.
MIT tops the field with 1113 points, while Coast Guard moved into second with 506 points. Wheaton is in third with 449 points while Springfield is fourth with 416 and WPI is fifth with 303. Babson (301), Wellesley (300), Smith (220), Mount Holyoke (145.5) and Clark (140.5) round out the field.
The Engineers took all six NEWMAC titles contested and saw three records fall. Kate Augustyn set a meet and open record in the 400-IM, Alexandra Turvey broke the 100-Fly record, and the 200-Yard Medley Relay team also broke the NEWMAC and open records.
Wheaton took runner-up honors in two events, the 200-Free and the 200-Medley Relay, while Springfield nabbed runner-up honors in the 100 Breast.
The 2025 NEWMAC Championships wrap up on Sunday at WPI with preliminary competition at 10:00 AM and Finals at 6:00 PM. Sunday’s events are the 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, 1650 Free, Women’s 3-Meter Diving, and the 400 Free Relay.

Saturday’s Preliminary Results
WORCESTER, Mass. — After three days of competition at the 2025 NEWMAC Swimming and Diving Championship, the MIT men still lead after seven men’s events wrapped up on Saturday night at the WPI Sport and Recreation Center.
Coast Guard grabbed the first three victories of the night, winning the 400 IM, 400 Fly, and 200 Free. Babson then won the 100 Breast before MIT closed the night with wins in the 100 Back, 1-Meter Diving, and the 200 Medley Relay.
The Engineers now lead the field with 967 points, while the U.S. Coast Guard Academy is second with 729 points and Babson is third with 508 points. Springfield sits in fourth with 496.5 points, followed by WPI (436.5), Wheaton (421), and Clark (170).
The 2025 NEWMAC Championships will conclude on Sunday at WPI with preliminary competition at 10:00 AM and Finals at 6:00 PM. Sunday’s events are the 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly, 1650 Free, and the 400 Free Relay.
