Kate Augustyn from Eau Claire, Wisconsin has committed to swim at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and will head to Boston in the fall of 2021.

Augustyn is wrapping up her senior year at Memorial High School. She placed 12th in the 100 back (57.50) and 14th in the 200 free (1:55.04) as a junior at the WIAA Girls Division I State Championships in December 2019. In club swimming, Augustyn focuses mainly on back and IM. She is a Futures qualifier in the 100 back, 200 back, and 200 IM. In 2020, while representing the Eau Claire YMCA Marlins, she notched PBs in the 500 free, 100 back, and 200/400 IM at the Wisconsin Swimming LSC Senior Short Course State Championships, coming in 9th in the 200 back, 11th in the 400 IM, 12th in the 200 IM, 19th in the 500 free, and 21st in the 100 back. She currently swims for Chippewa Valley YMCA and at the 2021 SSTY Swim Festival in April, she earned a new lifetime best in the 200 back.
