Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.

Ben Jabs from Minnetonka, Minnesota has announced his commitment to continue his academic and athletic careers at Delaware beginning in fall 2026.

“I’m incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Delaware. I am extremely grateful to my friends, family, and coaches for helping me get to this point. I’d like to thank Coach Bryce, Coach JB, and Coach Dennis for their support over the years, as well as Coach Pablo, Coach Ross, and Coach Katie for this amazing opportunity. Go Blue Hens!!”

Jabs swims for Minnetonka Swim Club and concluded his long course season at the Minnesota State Championships. His highest finish was 3rd in the 100 free as he posted a 53.12. He also made the ‘A’ final of the 100 fly with a 58.18 for 5th. He swam a lifetime best of a 2:14.82 for 9th in the 200 IM.

He began his senior year this fall at Minnetonka High School. At the start of March, he posted numerous best times at the Minnesota Class AA State Championship. He was 2nd in the 200 free in a 1:39.75 and 3rd in the 100 free in a 45.32. He also helped the team to wins in the 200 free and 400 free relays.

Jabs’ Best SCY Times Are:

  • 100 back: 49.14
  • 100 free: 45.32
  • 200 free: 1:39.75
  • 100 fly: 49.67

The Delaware men finished 2nd at the 2025 Coastal Athletic Association Championships with 737 points, less than 100 points behind UNCW who scored 829.5 points to win the conference title. The team sent Matvei Namakonov to the 2025 NCAA Championships as he swam the 50 free, 100 free, and 100 breast.

The team is notably joining the ASUN this upcoming season. His 100 back would already make the ‘A’ final while his 100 free would make the ‘B’ final.

Jabs will arrive next fall as a member of the class of 2030 along with Ryan Southern, Ken White, Keagan Eisenhofer, and Grady Redding.
