Junior Ali DeLoof earned Swimmer of the Week honors for her 4-win performance at the Orange Bowl Swim Classic. DeLoof won the 50 fly and 50 back individually, and also swam key legs on the 200 medley and freestyle relays. This is her 5th career Swimmer of the Week award.

Meanwhile Emily Kopas took home Freshman of the Week after winning 3 races at the same meet. Kopas, competing in her home state of Florida, swept the 50 and 100 breaststrokes, plus swam the stroke on the winning 200 medley relay alongside DeLoof. It’s her first Big Ten weekly award. Kopas is the third Wolverine rookie to win Female Freshman of the Week honors this season, joining Gillian Ryan and Clara Smiddy.
