The following is a press release courtesy of Miami University:

CLEVELAND—Miami University sophomore diver Jenna Karrow was named the Mid-American Conference Co-Women’s Swimmer of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. She helped lead the RedHawks to a 182.5-117.5 victory over Buffalo on Friday. It is the first MAC weekly award of Karrow’s career and the second straight week a RedHawk has been honored with sophomore Stephanie LeMire claiming the award last week.

After an injury prevented her from competing in the Miami Invitational, Karrow came back in a big way against the Bulls. Diving was a key part of the RedHawks’ success, with Karrow (260.25) coming in first place in the one-meter dive and topping her nearest competitor by an impressive 31.28 margin. She also won the three-meter dive with a score of 266.63, which was her best score of the season and bested the next-best finisher by 24.84 points.

Karrow shared this week’s honor with Bowling Green’s sophomore swimmer Victoria Griffin.

The women’s swimming and diving team travels to Muncie, Ind., to take on Ball State on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m. in the Lewellen Aquatic Center.
