Kenyon Takes Down Both 200 Medley Relay Records in First Night at DIII NCAAs

In the final event of the first night of the 2015 Division III NCAA champs, the Kenyon Lords and Ladies showed up in a big way, rewriting the record books in both the men’s and women’s 200 medley relay. The women’s team of Celia Oberholzer, Laura Duncan, Hannah Cooper and Jenner McLeod posted a 1:40.58 to demolish both the Meet and NCAA records held by Denison since 2009.

These are their splits:

  • 25.56
  • 27.87
  • 24.58
  • 22.57

On the men’s side, the Lords won by almost half a second, breaking the record set in 2010 by another Kenyon team. The quartet of Harrison Curley, Trevor Manz, Kevin Magee and Wes Manz put together a tight relay to post a final time of 1:27.54, getting under the old record by two tenths of a second.

  • 19.83
