The college season might be over, but Justina Kozan, who recently finished her senior season at USC, looks to still be in peak form.
At the 2026 Armada Long Course April Meet, Kozan clocked a personal best time of 4:40.06 in the 400 IM during the women’s competition, which now ranks her 22nd in the world this season.
Kozan recently was 16th in both the 200 fly and the 400 IM at the NCAA Championships.
Other individual standouts were:
- Adalyn Lee, a 15-year-old who swam unattached, set a personal best time of 2:19.21 in the 200 IM during the women’s competition,, moving her to 9th this season in the girls’ 15-16 age group (and 3rd among 15-year-olds) this season.. Lee’s previous personal best was a 2:19.55 at the NOVA Speedo Grand Challenge last May.
- In the men’s competition, Michal Chmielewski, a rising senior junior at USC, won the 100 fly in a personal best time of 53.11, and added a win in the 200 fly (1:55.49). His time in the 200 fly ranks 15th in the world this season.
- A teammate of Kozan at USC, Nicole Maier won the 50 free in 26.21 and the 200 free in 2:00.59, and was 2nd in the 200 IM (2:16.88) during the women’s event. Maier, who swam for the Athletic Club of Palaio Faliro, just finished her fifth year of eligibility at USC.
- Arya Kiang, a 13-year-old for the Arcadia Riptides, won the women’s 50 breast (36.62), 100 breast (1:17.82) and the 200 breast (2:46.30). Her times in the 100 breast and 200 breast were both personal bests.
- Junhao Chan, a rising junior at USC, won the 50 breast (28.32) and the 100 breast (1:02.08).

She was so close to Polish national record 4:36.95 set during Beijing olympic games in 2008. I was surprised to see her 2:11.24 200 IM swam during TYR Summer Championships in August 2025 is still pending ratification by Polish swimming federation.
Wow. I bet she’s been chasing that for years
she can be on the podium at Euros this year 🙂
