Coaching Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Coach for the Galleons (13–14) training group and one additional practice group.
- Develop and implement seasonal training plans for all Age Group practice groups.
- Establish annual performance goals for the Age Group Program.
- Coach athletes at local, regional, sectional, and championship meets.
- Teach and reinforce goal setting, race preparation, and training accountability.
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to develop and implement the 14 & Under dryland program.
- Ensure continuity throughout the Age Group Program.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Process and manage age group meet entries.
- Communicate regularly with athletes and parents through email and other club communication platforms.
- Assist the Head Coach with scheduling coaching staff.
- Collaborate on annual practice schedules and seasonal competition planning.
- Participate in staff evaluations and coach development.
- Foster and maintain a positive working relationship with Silverlake – The Family Place and its staff.
Program Development
- Work alongside the Head Coach and Team Administrator in planning and executing team-hosted meets.
- Assist in developing the club’s annual meet schedule.
- Partner with the Booster Club to organize age group social events that strengthen team culture.
- Lead summer league stroke clinics and represent Clippers at local summer league meets to recruit new athletes and families.
- Contribute ideas and initiatives that improve athlete retention, coach development, and overall program growth.
