Job Description:
As an Associate Head Coach of Thunder, you’ll be responsible for the development, implementation, support and advancement of all swim group athletes which includes their short- and long-term goals.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- The successful candidate must have a background in senior level coaching and development of swimmers.
- Current USA Swimming background check, CPR, First Aid, and Safety Training for Swimming Coaches certifications are required. College degree preferred.
- Dryland training experience.
- ASCA certification level 2 or higher is desired.
- Workouts run in the evenings, during school, (4-7:30pm), Saturdays (7-9am) and occasional mornings. Summer practices run (7-10am) and some evenings (4-6pm) but subject to change. Meets approximately 1-2 times a month, including travel 4-6 times per year. Reimbursement for all travel meets and educational opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This qualified candidate will report directly to the Head Coach.
- Responsible for all aspects related to the planning, preparation, and implementation of a comprehensive training and teaching plan designed to motivate our athletes.
- Preparing meet entries, attend swim meets, and perform various administrative duties as assigned.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with parents, the board of directors, and USA swimming communities.
- Promote the team externally via social media platforms.
- Communicate with YMCA leadership to build roster numbers at Bartlett site.
- Develop and execute roster growth and retention strategies.
COMPENSATION
