J-Hawk’s Olivia Deremer Commits to Colorado Mesa

The Colorado Mesa women have added a new member to their recruiting class, as Olivia Deremer has committed to join the Mavericks next season. Deremer is a native of Wisconsin, where she trains with the J-Hawk Aquatic Club. She’ll make the move to Colorado after graduating from Milton High School at the end of this school year.

Last season, Deremer qualified to compete in both the 100 breast and 200 IM at the 2015 Wisconsin Girls Division 2 State Championships. She swam her way to top 16 finishes in both races, placing 11th in the 200 IM and 15th in the 100 breast. Additionally, Deremer was a championship finalist at the 2014 state meet, where she took 7th in the 100 breast.

Deremer’s Top Times:

  • 100 breast- 1:07.55
  • 200 breast- 2:28.41
  • 200 IM- 2:13.22
  • 400 IM- 4:55.76

When she starts at Colorado Mesa, Deremer will be representing the Mavs in the Rocky Mountain Athletic conference. She should have an immediate scoring impact at the conference meet, as her times in the 100 breast and 200 breast are already fast enough to have scored in the B-final at 2016 RMACs.
