The MIAA is a 6-team, D3 swimming & diving conference where all teams are in the state of Michigan. The Hope College women are the conference’s dominant program, having won five straight conference titles, but on Thursday evening, they looked especially dominant – even by their standards.

The Flying Dutch scored 7 out of the top 8 spots in the 200 IM at the conference championship meet, speckling the A-Final with navy blue and orange. The team was led by a fourth consecutive title from Greta Gidley, a former D1 swimmer at the University of Michigan, in 2:00.47. Digley was the 2024 NCAA D3 champion in this event. She placed 2nd in both 2003 and 2025.

Behind her were three teammates, before Calvin’s Emma Merkel broke the run with a 5th place finish.
