Top 3 Finishers

  1. Henry Allan — 24.51
  2. Bruce Shen — 26.21
  3. Thomas Garbanzo — 26.28

Allan has been having a strong meet so far, setting new All Comers age records in the 100 and 200 backstroke, and he continued that trend in the 50 backstroke, breaking the 17-year-old boys All Comers record with his swim.  He takes down his own record time of 24.89 from December.

He will also take down Isaac Cooper‘s 17-year-old-age record of 24.59 from 2021.

Allan moves up to #2 all-time in the Australian event rankings, coming in behind only Isaac Cooper‘s 2024 swim of 24.12.

I know we’re all looking for the next Olympian, but some of these races have been great fun to watch even its not a top 10 time.

Almost a complete lack of interaction between her and Hayley afterwards.
Interesting. I guess that inevitably, they are strong rivals in this event.

Isn’t it the commentators job to know if a swimmer is eligible for junior pan pacs? Surely that is the bare minimum.
