WASHINGTON – Georgetown University’s men’s swimming & diving team split another weekend of action in the pool as the men’s squad defeated Fordham 199-94 while the women fell 198-96 to the Rams. Three Hoyas broke the school record in the 1-meter diving event on the men’s side as Kyle Maziarz retained the top spot in the record books.

“Great effort today from both sides,” Head Coach Jack Leavitt said. “Five meets in four weeks was definitely a challenge, considering we hadn’t raced since February 2020. We learned a lot and we look forward to preparing for our mid-season invite.”

“It’s been incredible to see how they push each other while being incredibly supportive,” Leavitt added about the divers. “We can’t wait to see how much further this group can push themselves this year.”
