The 2026 FISU America Games kick off on Friday in Lima, Peru. This will be the 4th edition of the America Games, which occur every two years. The Games are designed for university students throughout the Western Hemisphere.
The last edition of the Games, in 2024, was held in Colombia and there were eight countries, including the United States, who attended.

- 800 Free — Timed Final

Day 2
- 4×100 Medley Relay
- 400 Free
- 200 Back
- 100 Breast

Day 3
- Mixed 4×100 Medley Relay
- 1500 Free — Timed Final
- 200 Breast
- 50 Fly
- 100 Free

Each country can enter up to two teams in each relay event, and up to three athletes per individual event.
Athletes can be entered in up to six events, and they may not scratch races during the meet. If an athlete scratches a race after the technical meeting, which will happen on July 23rd at 6:00 pm, they will not be allowed to swim any other events in that session.
The United States announced its team back in April, and it features seven NCAA qualifiers including men’s 1650 freestyle bronze medalist Levi Sandidge from Kentucky.
Women’s NCAA Qualifiers – 2026
- Emily Lundgren (Washington State) — 100 Breast (27th) and 200 Breast (15th, All‑America HM)
- Mary Macaulay (North Carolina) — 400 IM (15th), 200 IM (16th), plus 400 Medley Relay
- Kayman Neal (Arizona) — 200 Back and 200 Free (individual)
- Ava Portello (Rice) — 1650 Free (24th) and 500 Free (37th)
Men’s NCAA Qualifiers – 2026
- Evan Mackesy (Purdue) — 200 IM, 400 IM, 500 Free, plus 200 Free Relay
- Levi Sandidge (Kentucky) — 1650 Free (3rd, 14:22.26), 500 Free, 400 IM
- Sean Setzer (North Carolina) — 200 Free Relay (11th, school record) and 400 Free Relay
In 2024, Brazil topped the overall medal table, winning 22 gold medals and 46 medals total in the pool. The United States was 2nd with 10 golds and 34 total medals, and Argentina was 3rd with four golds and 23 total.
