FINA Men’s Water Polo World League Kicks off in Europe

The 2016 season of the FINA Men’s Water Polo World League kicks off tomorrow, October 20, with the first home-and-away games of the three European groups.

Group A’s Hungary will receive Georgia in Szolnok (HUN) while Greece will face Romania in Athens.

In Group B, Serbia, 2014 FINA World Cup and 2015 World and World League and champions, plays France in Belgrade (SRB); Spain visits Montenegro in Herceg Novi (MNE).

In Group C, Croatia and Turkey will face each other in Sibenik (CRO); Italy meets the Russian squad in Moscow.

The composition of the European Groups of the 2016 Men’s World League is as follows:

Group A: Hungary, Greece, Romania, Georgia
Group B: Serbia, Montenegro, Spain, France
Group C: Croatia, Italy, Russia, Turkey

The 2015 edition of the FINA Water Polo World League sacred Serbia (gold), Croatia (silver) and Brazil (bronze).
The Super Final of the competition will take place on June 21-26, 2015, city to be confirmed.
