I wish no one talked about the enhanced games, ever. Act like it doesn’t exist.

I’d love to know what the EG participants’ family and friends think about their participation.

Probably not the most convenient time for Coleman and team, but wondering if it makes sense to consider hosting these podcasts live on weekends to drive live engagement. It’s a bit different than podcasts for other more established sports where the viewership is already established whereas swimming is working hard on increasing attention to the sport

I would love them to switch to Monday or Tuesday for the weekly breakdown, so the recaps of meets can be more timely. I hate waiting almost a week to hear their takes!

China is not winning the most individual golds. Qin x 3 plus Pan x 1 are basically the only strong gold contenders they have at this stage. USA will have the most individual golds by far and China and Australia will battle for second most I think

don’t know why there’s so many downvotes this is actually a good take.
ledecky, GW, douglass, finke will add up to more medals than china. they only have qin and pan

No idea. The only thing I would change is that Russia, France and Canada could also be in the mix for 2nd most individual golds depending on what form all the stars are in

Depending on Milak’s form, 4 golds could be in play in the 100/200 back and fly, although I wouldn’t bet on it.

There is also a greater than 0% chance of Betlehem pulling an upset gold in the 1500, judging by his improvement curve. Very unlikely of course.

2025 World Aquatics Championships
USA Swimming
Men’s Best Bets – Gold Medal
200 FR – Hobson, L.
800 FR – Finke, B.
1500 FR – Finke, B.
200 FL – Urlando, L.

That’s it.

The men’s backstroke and men’s breaststroke looks like a complete disaster especially without R. Murphy and N. Fink, respectively.

About Coleman Hodges

Coleman Hodges

Coleman started his journey in the water at age 1, and although he actually has no memory of that, something must have stuck. A Missouri native, he joined the Columbia Swim Club at age 9, where he is still remembered for his stylish dragon swim trunks. After giving up on …
