Davis Jackson continues to climb the all-time rankings for the boys’ 15-16 age group in the 200 backstroke. At the TAC Titans Summer Sizzler, nobody was more sizzling than Jackson, who swam a personal best time of 1:41.28 to win the 200 back.
The time broke his previous personal best by.63 one-hundredths, and vaulted him to the top spot this season in the boys’ 15-16 age group (short course).
Going further, Jackson’s time now is fourth on the all-time list in the boys’ 15-16 age group for the 200 backstroke.
Jackson started strongly, splitting a 23.60 on the opening 50. He followed that up with splits of 25.64, 25.95 and 26.09.
In addition, Jackson swam a personal best time of 46.64 to win the 100 back, and a personal best time of 20.59 to take the 50 free. He now ranks No. 10 all-time in the boys’ 15-16 age group for the 100 back.
From a team perspective, Blue Hen Aquatics won the combined and boys’ titles, while the TAC Titans won the girls’ title.
Other notable individual standouts were:
- Jonny Palamar, a 15-year-old from TAC Titans, swam four personal bests in the boys’ competition, finishing 2nd in each event. Palamar swam a 4:33.89 in the 500 free, a time of 48.80 in the 100 back, a time of 1:44.19 in the 200 back and a 49.25 in the 100 fly. In the 15-16 boys age group this season, Palamar owns the seventh-fastest time in the 200 back.
- In the girls’ event, 16-year-old Nola Meekins of TAC Titans won the 200 IM (2:01.55), 400 IM (4:15.16) and 200 back (1:58.28), all in personal best times. Meekins also swam a personal best time of 1:50.70 in the 200 free to finish 2nd. In the 15-16 girls’ 15-16 age group this season, Meekins has the 16th-fastest times in the 400 IM.
- Also in the girls’ competition, 15-year-old Sloane Barr of TAC Titans won the 200 free (1:47.94) and 500 free (4:55.89) in personal best times. She also swam personal best times to finish 2nd in the 200 IM (2:01.68) and 400 IM (4:17.84).

Baylor Stanton is #1 (1:40.58). Who are 2 and 3?
I’m going to guess Daniel Diehl and Ryan Murphy, but I didn’t check.
