Cseh Forms New Coaching Partnership

Hungarian Laszlo Cseh has achieved a lot in his swimming career including five Olympic medals, but there is one thing missing from his medal collection; a gold.

In an interview with Sport24 he said that Olympic gold is his goal and that he felt that it was something he wanted to profess openly.

In order to assist him in achieving that goal Cseh recently made the decision to begin training with Plagany Zsolt who helped guide him as young swimmer at the start of his career.

This process began in December when there were several reports that Cseh had made the decision not to renew his contract with the Kobanya Sport Club.

Cseh made it clear then and more recently that his decision came with no anger and that he was not dissatisfied with the club or coach György Turi, but that he simply needed a change.

At the time both Turi and the club made public statements expressing disappointment, but they also showed their support.

Cseh said that he was looking for somewhere that he could have strong communication and co-operation as well as the opportunity to try new training methods. It appears that he has gotten that opportunity with Zsolt with the first test of those methods coming in Luxembourg this weekend.

Cseh came away from the meet with a win and meet record in the 100 butterfly another win in the 50 butterfly as well as finishing second in the 200 IM and 200 butterfly.

In an interview in the interview with Sport24 he expressed that he knows that he will have to improve a lot, but that he already feels the change in environment has put him on the right path.
