Craig Harris Joins BSN SPORTS as Sales Professional

BSN SPORTS, the nation’s largest direct marketer and distributor of sporting goods to the school and league markets and a division of Varsity Brands, today announced that Craig Harris, a former Division 1 swimmer with 20 years of coaching experience, has joined the company as a sales professional focused on swimming to enhance relationships with customers, vendors and others, and expand the company’s footprint in the fast-growing swim market.

After finishing his collegiate career at the University of Louisiana Monroe – where he helped lead the team to multiple Top 25 finishes and was a caption as a junior and senior – Harris, now an American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 5 coach, began in the high school ranks and got his first head job in 2000 at Plano Senior High School (PSHS) in Texas. In his seven years at PSHS, the program’s highlights included 12 district titles combined for the boys’ and girls’ teams, and 28 High School All- Americans. Since 2007, Harris has had coaching stints with LSU, Lewisville High School and various aquatic clubs, where he coached All-Americans, state record breakers and several qualifiers for Junior Nationals, Nationals and Olympic trial events.

Harris joins a growing Swimming Division team at BSN SPORTS, where Olympic swimmer and 12-time World-Record holder, Jessica Hardy Meichtry, joined the team as the official Swim Brand Ambassador in February of this year.
